A totem — or monolith, same thing — is the sign that tells people they've arrived before they've even parked. Business parks, holiday parks, industrial estates and multi-let sites all need one for the same reason: a fascia sign on a distant building doesn't help someone navigating in off a roundabout, but a totem at the entrance does. We build them in aluminium and steel, single or double-sided, internally lit so they work as well at 9pm as they do at 9am, and we design them to carry multiple tenant names where a site needs wayfinding for more than one business.
The bit people forget about is underground. A totem is only as good as what it's bolted to, and we won't put one up on guesswork — we survey the site, work out the wind loading, and draw up a foundation to suit. That's the difference between a sign that's still standing after the next big Cumbrian storm and one that isn't. We manage the whole job: foundation, fabrication, lifting gear if it's a big one, and the install, whether that's a single entrance sign in Kendal or a site with tenants that needs updating regularly.
