A tray sign is the bread and butter of a shopfront — a folded aluminium box with a return depth, powder-coated to your colour, with lettering applied on the face. It's the sign most people picture when they think "shop sign," and it earns that reputation because it's tough, weatherproof, and gives you a lot of options for very little fuss. We build every tray in-house on our own folding and welding equipment, so corners are square, returns are consistent, and the powder-coat goes on evenly.
Where a tray sign gets interesting is the lettering. Applied vinyl is the cheapest and quickest option. Built-up letters mounted on the tray face add depth and shadow. Push-through acrylic — letters cut into the tray and backed with acrylic — lets light escape through the letter shapes themselves for a genuinely striking illuminated finish at night.
